Due to their thinness, plastic sheets made for crafting can be cut with crafting scissors or a craft knife. For intricate designs, using a mechanical cutter is best. Machines like Siser Romeo, Siser Juliet, Cricut, and Silhouette provide detailed cutting for a wide range of designs and projects. Plastic craft sheets made from acrylic and labeled as “laser safe” can be cut or engraved using popular desktop laser cutters such as Flux Beamo, Flux Beambox, Flux Hexa, Glowforge, and compatible with Omtech. Ensure that your plastic craft sheet has been tested and approved for laser use and that your laser is properly vented per the manufacturer’s instructions.
