PBT (Polybutylene Terephthalate) is a durable, texturized polyester fabric that offers natural stretch properties similar to Spandex. Known for its chlorine resistance, it is an ideal choice for swimwear, as well as being resistant to salt water and color fading. PBT doesn’t absorb water, allowing it to dry quickly, and provides a smooth, lightweight feel that glides effortlessly through water. While it has less stretch than Spandex, it still offers excellent elasticity and comfort, making it a popular option for activewear and aquatic sportswear.
